Walking around in downtown D-town we came upon a protest of some Iranians to stop dictatorship and uneccessary deaths of citizens. It was actually quite moving to see their passion and ferver for the betterment of their nation. Where is OUR passion?! I was mesmerized watching them and can still hear their chants in my head..

Day #17

Finally getting posted because my netbook decided it didn't want to cooperate with the internet while I was out of town. Had a great time in Dallas and had fun taking photos of some of the things downtown.. Here are just a couple of photos to show what I saw.. oh, and a bonus pic of me in my "Dallas attire" = soccer jersey, purple necktie, etc..

Day #13

Bradford's Poem
A father's touch, strong and secure,
with so much love that is fervently pure,
can calm your heart and show you the start
of your little life that's begun on this earth.

The master of life and the giver of breath
will walk with you and save you from death.
He's the Father of your father
and the drink of Living Water
who'll inhabit your heart and with His Word impart
the gifts of wisdom, of strength, and of light!

So, Bradford, know this,
as you feel your father's kiss,
that the love that you feel
is far more than real-
it's the love of your God poured for you.

Welcome to the world Bradford Lowry Nelson! (Born 1/12/2010)

The start of a challenge! Day #1

So, I have challenged myself to a daily commitment. I love photography, and I would love to increase my skills this year, so I will be taking a photo every day and posting it on here! Some of the photos will be mundane, things around my house, or different things I see throughout the day. I'll be taking all of my photos with a Canon Rebel T1i, and I'll try to include what settings I am using for each photo. I'm excited to learn and to be commited to something like this! I hope you enjoy seeing things through my perspective!! :) Today's photo will be posted below!

Day #1

This is a picture of a decaying rose that has been laying on my coffee table for about a week. I used manual focus. Shutter: 1/25. Apperature: 5.6. ISO: 3200. White balance: Auto.
